Dochas Family Centre is a registered charity located in North
Clondalkin who works with children aged **Apply on the website** years
in a therapeutic way. The post will focus (but not exclusively) on
children aged **Apply on the website**+ to undertake transition
activities which will help them move from primary to post primary
education. The mission of Dochas Family Centre is _?to support
children and their families, who may have social emotional and
behavioural needs in order to strengthen the family unit?. _This
post is based and managed by Dochas Family Centre but is contracted
through Collinstown SCP.
THE APPLICANT WILL:
* Successfully completed a (minimum) Level 8 Degree in a relevant
discipline (e.g. Social Care, Youth & Community Work) with 2 years
post qualifying experience and some experience of trauma informed care
(will be an advantage).
* Have experience of working with children presenting with social
emotional difficulties.
* Have experience of working with children and parents to provide
support matched to presenting needs which support the child & family
system.
* Be able to show experience and understanding of child development,
factors and systems which support positive outcomes for children and
families.
* Have experience of gathering relevant information from various
sources and in collaboration with families and children, implement a
Support Plan matched to their needs.
* Have experience of facilitating children?s groups.
* Have experience of interagency collaborative working.
* The ability to blend with an existing team dynamic, be friendly,
approachable and flexible.
* Have a full driver?s licence as driving a mini bus is a
requirement of the role.
